The beginning of a New Year has many of us launching some serious health goals, in January like following a detox plan. Detoxification is the process of removing toxins from your body. It may involve many different elements such as increased physical activity, avoiding highly processed foods that are high in saturated fats and added sugar and  herbal regimens.

MayoClinic.com says its important to consider the side effects of detox diets that severely limit protein and/or require long-term fasting that can result in fatigue or vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
