I started working with a new client this month and she wanted to get an idea of what MY eating day consists of so here it is. Granted this varies depending on my level of physical activity and taste preference for the day. One thing that is always consistent is my fruit intake I always consumed 5 servings of fruit a day. Below my daily food intake you will see an infographic of some fruits that I always include in my diet. Three of the fruits listed I grow in my garden – blueberries, strawberries and oranges!
7:00 am – I always begin my day with 2 glasses of water to rehydrate my body.
8:00 am – Breakfast – I usually have a bowl of whole grain cereal with almond milk and a banana to fuel my day and to kick start my metabolism.
Somewhere around 9:00 or 9:30 I sometimes, well most of the time I sneak in a green tea soy latte – I’m human!
10:00 – Snack – I’m having my first snack around this time – maybe yogurt with granola and a piece of fruit or a multi-grain bagel with hummus if I am really hungry. Water, at least two glasses!
12:30 or 1:00 – Lunch – I always try to have a salad with maybe a bowl of pasta, a half a sandwich or a slice or two of my favorite Arizmendi pizza, yum! Oh yes a piece of fruit and water!
3:30 or 4:00 – Snack – This is where my blood sugar can get low and I start to crave sweets, so I’ll grab an apple or some grapes along with a handful of almonds. If I am really hungry I might have a half of PB&J sandwich on whole grain bread or some sort of carb & protein combo and water.
6:00 or 6:30 – Dinner – Now that it’s winter I’ve been eating a lot more soup, for example a big bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup full of veggies and sometimes I’ll add some potatoes. More water 🙂
9:00 or 9:30 – Cup of green tea and a piece of fruit!
